Panel discussion „The future of scientific publishing“

Dear colleagues, dear students,

we would like to invite you to the next event in our Open Science event series. On Thursday, 8 December, at 3 pm, Jeanette Erdmann, Sören Krach and Jonas Obleser will host a panel discussion on “The future of scientific publishing”. Traditional as well as innovative publication models of different journals will be discussed, including their advantages and disadvantages.

One example of an innovative model is eLife’s new review process: from January 2023, eLife will no longer make acceptance/rejection decisions after peer review. Instead, each preprint sent for review will be published on the eLife website as a “Reviewed Preprint”, which will include an eLife assessment, public reviews and an author response (if any) (https://elifesciences.org/about/peer-review).

The panel discussion will be held in German and will take place in Webex.

We look forward to seeing you!
