Open Science Preis der Universität zu Lübeck 2025
Mit dem Open Science Preis der Universität zu Lübeck wird ein Projekt aus dem Bereich Forschung und Lehre prämiert, das sich in den Open Science Bereichen Transparenz, Reproduzierbarkeit, Wiederverwendbarkeit und/oder offener Kommunikation hervorgetan hat. Dabei ist es über die Standards des jeweiligen Feldes hinausgegangen oder hat Mittel geschaffen, diese Standards zu erhöhen oder leichter erreichbar zu machen. Eingereichte Bewerbungen werden von einer Kommission mit Vertreter*innen aus den Bereichen Biologie, Medizin, Psychologie, Biostatistik und Informatik, einer studentischen Vertretung sowie einer Vertretung aus dem Center for Doctoral Studies gesichtet und bewertet.
Der Preis ist mit 1000,- Euro dotiert. Das Preisgeld ist zur persönlichen Verwendung der/des Preisträgerin/Preisträgers gedacht und richtet sich an Einzelpersonen oder Gruppen mit einer Affiliation zur Universität zu Lübeck oder dem Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), Campus Lübeck. Für Beschäftigte ist das Preisgeld, das über das Gehalt ausbezahlt würde, steuerpflichtig.
Das Datum der Veröffentlichung soll nicht vor dem 01. Januar 2022 gelegen haben. Bewerbungen müssen bis zum 31. August 2025 unter der E-Mail open.science@uni-luebeck.de eingereicht werden und sollen Folgendes beinhalten:
- Einen Link zum Projekt bzw. eine PDF-Datei des Projekts
- Eine kurze Zusammenfassung des Projekts (200-250 Worte)
- Eine kurze Begründung, warum das Projekt ausgezeichnet werden sollte (200-250 Worte)
Ausschreibung Open Science Preis für studentisches Engagement
Dieses Jahr wird erstmalig ein Open Science Preis für Student*innen verliehen. Er hat zum Ziel, studentisches Engagement für Open Science sichtbar zu machen.
Mit dem Open Science Preis für studentisches Engagement wird ein Projekt aus dem Bereich Forschung und Lehre prämiert, das sich in den Open-Science-Bereichen Transparenz, Reproduzierbarkeit, Wiederverwendbarkeit und/oder offener Kommunikation hervorgetan hat. Auszeichnungswürdige Projekte umfassen Abschlussarbeiten und/oder andere Formen des studentischen Engagements in Forschung und Lehre, welche über die Standards studentischen Engagements hinausgehen oder Mittel schaffen, Standards zu erhöhen oder leichter erreichbar zu machen. Eingereichte Bewerbungen werden von einer Kommission mit Vertreter*innen aus den Bereichen Biologie, Medizin, Psychologie, Biostatistik und Informatik, einer studentischen Vertretung sowie einer Vertretung aus dem Center for Doctoral Studies gesichtet und bewertet.

Open Science Award of the University of Lübeck 2025
The Open Science Award of the University of Lübeck is awarded to a project in the field of research and teaching that has excelled in the areas of transparency, reproducibility, reusability and/or open communication. In doing so, it has gone beyond the standards of the respective field or has created means to raise these standards or make them easier to achieve. Submitted applications are reviewed and evaluated by a committee with representatives from the fields of biology, medicine, psychology, biostatistics and computer science, a student representative and a representative from the Center for Doctoral Studies.
The award is endowed with 1000 euros. The award money is intended for the personal use of the award winner and is aimed at individuals or groups with an affiliation to the University of Lübeck or the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), Lübeck Campus. For employees, the award money, which would be paid out via the salary, is taxable.
The date of publication should not have been before January 01, 2022. Applications must be submitted by August 31, 2025 to the email open.science@uni-luebeck.de and should include the following

Open Science Award for student engagement
This year, an Open Science Award for students will be awarded for the first time. Its aim is to make student commitment to Open Science visible.
The Open Science Award for Student Engagement is awarded to a project in the field of research and teaching that has excelled in the areas of transparency, reproducibility, reusability and/or open communication. Award-worthy projects include theses and/or other forms of student engagement in research and teaching that go beyond the standards of student engagement or create means to raise standards or make them more achievable. Submitted applications are reviewed and evaluated by a committee with representatives from the fields of biology, medicine, psychology, biostatistics and computer science, a student representative and a representative from the Center for Doctoral Studies.
